A day given to the water

Subic Bay is a former US naval harbor, which means the water here holds wrecks, reefs, and a coastline that was never built for crowds.

These are suggested places from the guide, grouped into a starting route. Adjust the order, travel time and bookings to suit your day. Check current opening hours before setting out.

Day 1

  1. Camayan Divers

PADI 5-Star Dive Resort operating from Camayan Beach since 2003, offering full certification courses from Open Water through Divemaster plus fun dives on Subic Bay's wartime wrecks, including the USS New York and SS Oryoku Maru.

  2. Camayan Beach

Resort beach on the Freeport's western shoreline, run as Camayan Beach Resort by Subic Bay Marine Exploratorium Inc., also behind Ocean Adventure. Access is paid and resort-controlled, with cabanas, showers, and a pool added in 2017.

  3. Subic Bay Yacht Club

Private yacht club and marina on the CBD waterfront with a clubhouse, seven room types, and banquet facilities for weddings and corporate events. Membership-based, with a reciprocal program for other yacht clubs' members.

  4. Leonardo's Pizza Tradizionale

Italian pizzeria at Rotonda Food Park near Moonbay Marina in Subic Bay Freeport Zone, baking Naples-style pizza in a wood-fired brick oven.

  5. Ocean Adventure

Open-water marine park at Camayan Wharf, run in open lagoons rather than tanks, with daily dolphin, sea lion and rainforest-animal shows plus optional swim and beach encounters. Billed by its operator as Asia's first open-ocean marine park.
