Your stories. Your choices.
What we keep
Explore Subic uses Supabase to store your account, private itineraries, saved places, public profile, stories, photos, reports and moderation decisions. Your email and private trip notes are not shown on public profiles. Your login may also be used by connected services.
Planning as a guest
Guest trip drafts and notes stay in your browser or on your device. They are not sent to our account database until you sign in and save a trip to your account. Guest bookmarks on the website are transferred when you sign in. Clearing browser data or deleting the app removes local drafts. You can delete a draft from the trip editor at any time.
Sharing a route
Creating a share link publishes a copy of your route title, days and places. Anyone with that link can view it. Travel dates, private notes and your account details are excluded. Later edits stay private until you update the shared route; you can disable the link whenever you like.
What becomes public
Your display name, bio, stories and photos become public only after approval. Do not put private contact details or sensitive information in a profile or submission. Published content may be indexed by search engines.
Community rules
Share your own experiences honestly. Upload only photos you own or have permission to use, with consent from identifiable people. No harassment, hate, threats, sexual content, private personal information, misleading claims, spam or unrelated promotion. Do not share exact locations of sensitive wildlife or encourage unsafe access.
How review works
Moderators may send story text and photos to OpenAI’s Decisions API to help identify content that needs attention. AI checks are recommendations; a human makes publication decisions. We keep moderation records to investigate reports. Profile content and reports may also be reviewed by moderators.
Reporting and blocking
Use “Report story” or “Flag this business” to send a concern to the administrator. Signed-in members can block travellers to hide their stories from their community feed. Blocking does not remove someone’s public webpage from the internet.
Manage your information
You can delete individual trips and stories, edit your profile, unblock members, or permanently delete your account from Account & privacy. Deleting the account removes your login from all connected services. Deleted pages may remain in search caches or provider backups for their normal retention periods.
Photos and device access
We request photo-library access only when you choose to upload a photo. Web uploads are re-encoded to remove embedded location metadata. The app does not need background location access. Session storage keeps you signed in; it is not used for advertising.
