Where you can actually swim in Subic

The Subic Bay Freeport Zone has a short list of beaches, and the ones with clear swimming rules sit inside resorts. The waterfront is free to walk, one beach sells a day pass, and one admits overnight guests only.

These are suggested places from the story, grouped into a starting route. Adjust the order, travel time and bookings to suit your day. Check current opening hours before setting out.

Day 1

  1. Subic Bay Boardwalk (Waterfront Park)

Free, 24-hour waterfront promenade on Waterfront Road in the CBD, used for walking, jogging, cycling, and picnics. Several monuments line the route, including the Hell Ship Memorial.

  2. All Hands Beach

A public beach in Cubi district that operated as a U.S. Navy swimming site from around 1956, now run by Brighterday Subic Ltd. with a day-use Beach Bundle pass and overnight family-room cabanas that include breakfast.

  3. Camayan Beach Resort and Hotel

A forest-backed beachfront resort on Camayan Beach with 82 rooms and 3 suites, run by Subic Bay Marine Exploratorium alongside the neighboring Ocean Adventure marine park; known for its Reef Restaurant and a sea turtle conservation program.

  4. Nabasan Beach

Shoreline in the Ilanin Forest West district where Kamana Sanctuary Resort and Spa sits; the resort reserves its beach for overnight guests only. The stretch was also named an SBMA coastal-cleanup point in 2021.

Day 2

  1. Kamana Sanctuary Resort & Spa

An eco-focused beach resort and spa on Nabasan Bay in West District's Ilanin Forest, set between old-growth rainforest and the water. Only overnight guests are admitted; day-trippers are turned away.

  2. Acea Subic Beach Resort

A 2.5-hectare private beachfront resort on San Bernardino Road with an infinity pool, over 100 rooms, the on-site Salt Restaurant and cafe, a gym, and a playground, facing Mt. Cinco Picos across the bay.

  3. Camayan Point

The headland closing the western end of Ilanin Forest West, out past Camayan Beach and the dive wharf. It is a point of land rather than a managed site, with no facilities listed.

  4. Adventure Beach Waterpark

Family waterpark at Camayan Wharf in the West Ilanin Forest Area, a short walk from Ocean Adventure and Camayan Beach Resort. As of August 2026 it opens Friday through Sunday only, 9am to 5pm.
