WIN has cared for rescued and confiscated wildlife from the Freeport and surrounding provinces since 2003, among them long-tailed macaques, civet cats, owls and monitor lizards. A staff member walks visitors past the enclosures and explains why each animal ended up there, whether injured, orphaned, or handed in by an owner who could no longer keep it. The centre also runs a wildlife-at-night tour alongside its daytime visits.
