Ilanin Forest

Conservation land where the zone's surviving rainforest meets its beach resorts and forest trails.

Ilanin Forest West is a conservation zone that allows medium-intensity recreation in developable pockets under strict environmental controls — nature parks, forest trails, eco-tourism, and the beach resorts on the forest side of the bay. Ilanin Forest East, next to it, is more protected still: predominantly forest, no tree cutting, guided nature activity only.
