El Kabayo Stables

Horseback-riding stables dating to the US Naval Base recreation era, open daily 8am-6pm. Offers 30-minute to 1-hour rides, a guided ride to El Kabayo Waterfalls, and lessons; proceeds support horse-welfare group Wildlife In Need.

El Kabayo Stables, Nature

El Kabayo has offered horseback riding since it served as a recreation stop for US Navy personnel on the base. It's now run in partnership with Wildlife In Need, a horse-welfare foundation that ride proceeds help fund. Options range from a 30-minute loop around the stables to a guided hour-long forest ride to El Kabayo Waterfalls, plus lessons for beginners. Some of its roughly 21 horses also serve with SBMA's mounted patrol.
