The Filipino Shipmate Monument stands on Waterfront Road in the Subic Bay Freeport Zone, inaugurated on January 14, 2026 by the United States Sailors Alliance of the Philippines. The eight-foot bronze figure is modeled on Fireman Second Class Telesforo Trinidad, the only Filipino sailor awarded the US Medal of Honor, and honors the more than 35,000 Filipinos recruited into the US Navy through centers including Subic Bay between 1901 and 1991. It stands along the same waterfront stretch as the Freeport's other war memorials, an easy stop on a walk along the boardwalk.
